Volunteers are an integral part of any non-profit and we are no exception. We are constantly needing volunteers to help run the house and fundraising events. Here are a few examples of tasks for volunteers.

Individuals or Groups are needed to:

  • Answer telephone; greet guests
  • Assist staff with clerical projects
  • Clean and organize closets, cabinets, pantry, laundry rooms
  • Assist in general house cleaning
  • Prepare and serve dinner for guests
  • Provide covered-dish suppers for guests
  • Provide donations of kitchen and household products
  • Assist with mailing projects
  • Organize a canned food and paper goods drive
  • Serve on a committee for one of our fundraising events
  • Substitute as a Resident Manager
  • Help with lawn maintenance
  • Work with Bargainanza team
  • Decorate and stock Angel Trees

Atlanta Youth Step Up

Atlanta Youth

On Friday June 8 A group of outstanding young people from Dominion City Church in Gwinnett County, came and cleaned and polished floors, trimmed bushes, and cleaned our kitchen. They were great young people who we hope to see doing great things in the future. Led by Faith Richardson(whose family once stayed here at the AHHH during a crisis) they were Cobey Black, Renee Moore, Musha Zulu, Justine Givens, Harold Givens, Chris Pearce, and Keely Kilpatrick. Thanks Guys!

Triage returned to cook a delicious meal, clean our awning, and paint one of our rooms in the cottage.
