The Atlanta Hospital Hospitality House provides short-term lodging and companionship in a home environment for out-of-town patients and families in treatment at Atlanta area hospitals and medical facilities.
The AHHH provides lodging, kitchen and laundry facilities. We serve a meal every night at 7:00 pm for all the guests. Check-in time is between the hours of 3 p.m. – 8 p.m Monday through Friday, and 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. We have handicap accessible rooms and bathrooms. We offer shared and private bedrooms and provide linens and towels for all guests to use.
To be a guest at the House, you must live at least 40 miles outside of Atlanta. For those who are in treatment at a hospital, we request that you have a companion or caregiver with you. We are not able to care for those who are ill. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, religion or national origin. All are welcome. We do not allow alcohol, illegal drugs, or weapons.

To Become a Guest
The process is very easy. Just contact your medical facility’s social services, pastoral care department, or your nurse administrator or coordinator and tell them you would like to stay with us. They will refer you to the House.
Staff on Duty
Resident Managers are on duty from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm when we close the House for the night. Guests are allowed to stay at the House during the day with permission.

These medical facilities are on the route of MARTA bus #2. We do not provide transportation for guests to any facilities.
Annually we have to raise over $250,000 to cover the expenses of operating the House for our guests. The House is supported by donations from churches, foundations, civic and veterans organizations, businesses, and individuals, including guests and former guests. No government funds are used.
